Legends Names Former Meta Exec Dan Levy As CEO

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Legends, the sports experiences and venue management company announced that Dan Levy has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer.

Levy joined Legends in March as interim president as the company seeks to close on a planned merger with venue management giant ASM Global.

Levy comes to Legends after more than a decade at Meta (formerly Facebook), including eight years on the company’s executive team. While at Meta, Levy was one of the only executives to lead both technical and commercial teams, including overseeing Meta’s monetization of Business Messaging, turning it into a key profit center for the company.

Former CEO Shervin Mirhashemi will assume a role as Vice Chair of the company’s board, where he will focus on fostering the company’s future growth.

“For almost 11 years, running the day-to-day operations and growing this incredible business has been my professional life’s blessing and greatest driver. We have come a long way from having a handful of partners to being the leader in our business services sector, all while setting the highest bar in our industry. Our best-in-class people, white label approach, and ability to consistently deliver the most effective solutions for our partners have supported Legends’ continuous development and unprecedented track record,” Mirhashemi said, announcing the executive shuffle.

“We have attained such great heights because of all of you and your admirable desire to attack each day with passion and creative solutions to deliver results for our trusted partners. To go from a couple of hundred full-time employees in 2013 to over 3,000 today speaks volumes about our growth and success. I hope you are as proud as I am of our global achievements and partnerships with iconic brands. With Dan as CEO, together with Mike Tomon and the rest of our seasoned management team, we are poised to take Legends to new horizons at the forefront of sports and entertainment,” Mirhashemi added.
